I was invited this week to be interviewed by Mr. Andrew Frazier, founder of the Small Business Pro University on his weekly podcast. BELOW this block is the link to the video where i discuss my three takeaways:
1) PROGRAMMING: Before you look for space, know what it is that you are looking for. This is accomplished through programming, a process where we determine your space needs which is measured by square footage with an understanding of what it is that will go into the space. This includes the dimensions and characteristics of the offices, people, furniture and equipment that will be going in the space.
2) LOCATION: Understand your location parameters. Where do you need to be, where to you want to be, and where can you afford to be?
3) BUDGETS: How to prepare a budget to accomplish your goals, today and into the future. After all, real estate is a long term commitment. In today’s market, many leases involve a commitment of a decade or more. Planning for growth and anticipating market changes is essential.
As tenant advisors, we at Dickstein Real Estate Services welcome the opportunity to work with each of you to understand your real estate needs in order to conduct a search of the real world of alternatives that are out there to solve your space needs.
Regards,
Lawrence Dickstein
